The effects worth spending credits on
Forty-odd effects in the catalogue, and they are not equally good. Here is the honest ranking from the inside, including the ones we would skip.
Reliable, nearly always
Undress — the one everybody comes for, and the most robust. A clear frontal photo works more often than not.
Lingerie, bikini, towel — these replace clothing rather than removing it, which gives the model a target instead of a void. They fail less than undress does, and on a difficult photo they are the better bet.
Photo editor / custom prompt — the most underused thing in the catalogue. Describe the change in a sentence and you are not limited to the preset list at all.
Good when the photo cooperates
Face swap — excellent with matched angles, obviously pasted without them. Spend ten seconds picking the right source face and it doubles in quality.
Anime — photo to anime is strong; anime to photo depends on how realistic the proportions were to begin with.
X-ray — a stylised look rather than a realistic one. Judge it as an effect, not as a simulation.
Where the credits go furthest
Photo effects are eight credits; video is twenty and needs an active day pass. If you are experimenting, do it in photos: four attempts at a photo cost less than two videos, and the photo tells you whether the source picture works at all before you spend the heavier currency on it.
Video, when it is worth it
Five seconds, twenty credits, about a minute of waiting. Worth it when the source is a clean, well-lit frontal photo of one person — the same conditions that make a good photo result, only less forgiving. On a marginal source, video amplifies every flaw, and movement makes artefacts far more visible than they are in a still.
Two practical habits
Run the cheap thing first. Test the source with one photo effect before committing to video on it.
Rerun rather than argue. Every run is a new sample. If a result is 80% right, the next one is often the one you wanted — that is cheaper than trying to fix it anywhere else.
Questions
How many effects are there?
Over forty: photo effects at eight credits, video effects at twenty with a day pass.
Which is the most reliable?
The clothing-replacement ones — lingerie, bikini, towel. They give the model a target instead of a void.
Is video worth the credits?
On a clean frontal source, yes. On a marginal one it magnifies every flaw — test with a photo first.
